Suggestions for group activities from the 2008 delegation:

  • Parents are encouraged to attend the Japanese lessons as their schedule permits.

  • Plan a group event to get to know delegation families.

  • Delegation meeting to discuss small gifts for the students at the Naka schools you will visit.

  • Delegation planning for a group activity at the farewell event.

  • Selection of a chaperone and student(s) to give a brief speech at the welcome event and/or other appropriate times.

We ask each of you (chaperones and students) to submit an essay about your experience in Naka within two weeks for your return to Oak Ridge. See essays from last year for guidance.  Please submit these via email to kluckmann@bellsouth.net.
