The Honorable David R. Bradshaw Mayor
City of Oak Ridge

Dear Mayor Bradshaw
:

We here in Naka, feel it was such a wonderful experience, to host the delegation of 10
students and two chaperones, from Oak Ridge.
All of the students were very sensible and bright, and they attended every program with keen a attitude during their stay in Naka-shi. They had precious experiences through staying with their Japanese host families. And I was sure that they understood Japanese culture and customs.

They also attended each junior high school in Naka-shi, the students of Oak Ridge and Naka became good friends with each other. Their friendship may serve as a bridge between our two countries.

The two chaperons guided students in their behavior and helped the staffs of Naka-shi with their work in this program. I admired them for their hard work. I appreciate that you sent excellent students and chaperons to Naka-shi.

During August ten students and three chaperons will visit Oak Ridge from Naka-shi.
They are looking forward to staying with their host families and making new friends in Oak Ridge.

I hope that the Naka delegation will be welcomed by everyone there with warm
hospitality. And I have the greatest expectation that our international friendship will become stronger.

In closing I would like to wish you the best for the future and that you keep working
hard toward the growth of Oak Ridge and to the well being of it's citizens.

Yours Sincerely,

Chikaaki Oyake
Mayor
Naka-shi
