Thursday

3:45 p.m. ORS school bus leaves JMS gym parking lot for airport.

4:55 p.m. Naka guests arrive at Knoxville airport on Northwest flight 5878 and are met by ORS and Sister City Organization representatives.

5:30-6:00 p.m. Travel to Oak Ridge

6:00 p.m. Naka guests arrive at JMS. An evening meal will be served for visitors, staff, and host families in JMS cafeteria. Host families take their guests home.

Friday

7:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Students attend school. Have lunch at schools.

12:45-1:15 p.m. Students picked up at RMS & JMS

1:15-2:45 p.m. Tour Museum of Science and Energy

2:45 p.m. Parents/hosts pick up students at Museum

5:00-8:00 p.m. Reception at Chamber of Commerce for Naka-Shi guests. Host families take their guests home. (Students are asked to wear appropriate attire to the reception.)

All Day – Naka guests stay with host families

Monday

7:30 a.m. Students, chaperones, and school representatives meet at Civic Center

7:45-8:45 a.m. Travel to Gatlinburg

9:00-10:30 a.m. Ripley’s Aquarium Tour

10:30a.m.-12:00 p.m. Sightseeing/shopping/lunch in Gatlinburg. Box lunches provided by Food Services

12:00-1:00 p.m. Travel to Oak Ridge. Those who drove to Civic Center are dropped off there. Students dropped off at RMS & JMS

1:00-2:45 p.m. Students attend school

Tuesday

7:45-9:00 a.m. Students attend school

9:00-9:30 a.m. Students picked up at JMS and RMS

9:30-10:45a.m. Tour Wal-Mart

10:45-11:00 a.m. Travel to Big Ed’s

11:00a.m.-12:00p.m. Lunch at Big Ed’s

12:00-12:15 p.m. Travel to Civic Center

12:15-12:45 p.m. Friendship Bell presentation

12:45-1:00 p.m. Students dropped off at RMS & JMS

1:00-2:45 p.m. Students attend school

5:00-9:00 p.m. Students and host families participate in Farewell Ceremonies at the Briarcliff swimming pool hosted by the Sister City Organization. A “potluck” dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday

7:15 a.m. Host families take their guests to the Civic Center for departure to airport.

7:45-8:45 a.m. Breakfast at Cedar Bluff Cracker Barrel

9:15 a.m. Arrive airport for departure

11:15 a.m. Naka guests depart from Knoxville Airport on Northwest flight 5873
