....
.... Our organization - Children's Environmental Team " Bemby " was established in 1990 for people from 5 to 70 years. "Bemby "is dealing with labor - ecological education of children.

.... The useful work for society that children from 6 to 16 are involved in includes, for instance , looking after forests'condition. For this type of work they are getting paid: it is very important to teach children to earn money through fair work, and to make them learn how to spend this money reasonably. Thus, they are acquiring valuable life experience and do a useful environmental work-this combination is of great significance. The citizens see the results of their work, pay due respect to it, thus making children proud of what they are doing through taking care of nature.

....We have founded children's museum of nature in 1993. Over 100 groups of schoolchildren visit this

....
museum during school year. Since 1993 we started celebrating in our city of Obninsk the World Day of Earth on April, 22, and since last year other towns and villages in the region have joined us.

....Our organisation has ten branches in the region. The group members of " Bemby " in Obninsk are : 20 schools and about 1000 individual members from the region.

We are the participants of a number of international conventions, members of Social- Ecological Union, National Council of Youth and Children Organizations of Russia, members- appointers of Volunteers Association of Russia. NGO "Bemby" received grants from ISAR (1993), Eurasia Foundation (1996), Netherlands Kingdoms Embassy (1995). We are hoping and planing to obtain the status of the All-Russian organization in the nearest future.
