of Women in Oak Ridge
Friday November 6
Arrival in Knoxville Airport 10:59 a.m. Delta 546 from Atlanta.
Transportaion to Oak Ridge municipal building to be greeted by the mayor and city
officials.
After a light lunch hosts take guests home for refreshment and unpacking.
Afternoon opportunity to see neighborhood or a drive through the city will be provided.
5:00 p.m. - Hosts bring guests to Bissel Park picnic shelter for a potluck dinner
provided by the Sister City Support Organization.
6:00 p.m. - hosts and guests ring Friendship Bell..
Hosts will then take guests home or go to a championship football game to see the Oak
Ridge "Wildcats" begin their try for a State championship.
Saturday November 7
9:30 a.m. departure for Smoky Mountain National Park.
Lunch stop in Townsend.
Cades Cove with opportunities for stops, walks, and photo taking.
6 p.m. - Return to Oak Ridge. Dinner with the host families.
Sunday November 8
Day with host families.
6:30 p.m. - Garden Plaza Hotel for a Departure Banquet hosted by the City of Oak Ridge.
Monday November 9
10:00 a.m. departure by bus to the Knoxville Airport |
