The Pellissippi District Camping Committee invites all Boy Scouts and Scouters to take part in the 2005 Fall Camporee at Norris Dam State Park.

The focus of this camporee will be a raft design/float competition.

Events for the camporee will include Scout Spirit, leadership, and attributes of the Scout Law. Information on each event is included in the pages that follow. Units will compete as patrols or in groups of 8 - 10 for small Troops.

The Spirit Award will be presented to the winning Troop on Saturday night based on the criteria provided in this brochure.

An award will also be given to the winner of the campsite Gateway Contest. Also, ribbons will be given for the three highest scores in each activity area of the shooting sports. First, second, and third place ribbons will be given out for the best Patrol Flag. Patrol flags should be carried and displayed during the day on Saturday.

The cost of the Camporee is $10.00 per participant. This fee will cover the cost of the camporee, a patch, program areas, insurance, and recognition. Pre-registration is requested, and a form is included in this package.

We will once again have the Pellissippi District feast on Saturday night. Each troop is requested to bring its best dishes to include a meat/main dish, one bread, one vegetable, and a dessert. Please bring enough to feed your Troop plus five guests.

The Saturday night campfire will feature the members of the Order of the Arrow. Don't forget to bring blankets to sit on and flashlights. Parents and siblings are also invited to attend the campfire.

The Scout Oath and Law will guide all activities, events, and individual behavior.
