COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS The Great Tennessee Turbo Turtle Race NEEDS YOUR HELP!

On Saturday, October 15th, the Great Tennessee Turbo Turtle Race will begin. The race starts at 3:00pm and the "adopted" turtles will float down Melton Hill Lake to the finish line. Prizes include $5,000 cash, a Suzuki scooter, a Robert Tino print, $250 in gas and a pontoon rental.
Bob and Carol Smallridge are the co-chairs for this event and they are asking scouts for help on Saturday.
Below are a list of their needs:
1. Someone (or troop) to accept responsibility for getting a helium tank (and ribbon to tie) and blowing up our United Way balloons to give to children. (We'll reimburse with receipt).
2. 2-4 to help with parking
3. A few older boys to help some of the cub scouts work the games (we have 3 hole-in-ones, a "turtle toss", another toss game, and a basketball goal for free throws). We would love to have more games but haven't the time or manpower to work them.
The Knoxville Remote Control Club will be flying their airplanes.
There is a desperate need for a couple of jet skiers--would you know of someone?
