[EQAB-list] Policy Guide on Planning for Sustainability

After some web researching, I found this document from the American Planning Association to be one of the most comprehensive guides to relating municipal policies to sustainability.? I suggest you look at the Appendix on page 9?as an outline that we can use in our discussions tonight.? 

I recognize that we will need to examine the the current city ordinances to understand if they present barriers to these policies suggestions.? Given that Pat has told us that the list of ordinances is small and? we understand that Administrative Policy and and Procedures direct staff in implementation/enforcement of city rules/codes, we will need to strategize on how best to recommend policy changes.? 

Please either save the doc to your computer or print it out for the meeting.?? I'll bring a couple of copies with me tonight.
