EQAB board members,

I want to introduce members of the board to another group of citizens
with a passion for creating a greener Oak Ridge via better use of our
waterfront, greenways, roads, etc. This group, largely associated
with rowing participants and bikers, has some nice visions and strong
energy for helping Oak Ridge. I think we could invite a presentation
for one of out meetings. I met with Bob Leight this morning. Steve
Spooner, of the rowing association, introduced us.

Bob was not aware of current EQAB efforts. We have not been aware of
their efforts.

Team Oak Ridge has many creative ideas about how to make better use
of the waterfront and create a city that is more appealing to young
professionals. They have fresh ideas. They have future oriented
visions. Obviously, their is plenty of need for all of us to create
lines of communication. Together we have synergy.

Some changes will be quite easy. They want to create less trash at
their events. They need our help and the city's help with talking to
the correct people.

Their blog site that tells more. Nice site with lots of Oak Ridge
sports links. Read more about the coming first annual bike race to be
held in Oak Ridge next month. The site does not get into a their
development visions in details. This would be a good topic for a
presentation. We would do well to exchange ideas with this group.
