Fred,

If I am understanding your idea to help with the consolidation, it is to

1. Export the input to spreadsheets by "original forum table", then

2. Forward the spreadsheets to scribes from each table to collapse, combine or delete the input

If this is your thought, than I think it would be a good approach.  If there is concern that it can't be done by this Thursday, then I think it would be appropriate to postpone the next work session until either 2/24 or 2/26 (pending any potential city meeting conflicts).  In addition to doing the consolidation, I will need a little time to input the consolidate data into my pair-wise spreadsheet to make our meeting time efficient.

Thanks for your help.

We have to change our strategy for collapsing the citizen input if so
that we can be ready for Thursday. I propose that this cannot be
accomplished by one or 2 people by Thursday. Even 3 people.

Athanasia was out of commission on Friday. Robert and I worked Sunday
but did not get as much accomplished as we had imagined. He is
working on the "Water" section still.

New proposal: I recommend that I export the separate sections back to
Excel spreadsheets - with permanent IDs associated with the original
input. I have all of the original input preserved on one database
with the same permanent IDs. Robert and I were collapsing input by
first combining similar or related ideas. We marked the "old" records
with a "Merged Into" column that identifies where the idea was
APPENDED. You can move your Excel sheet rows as you like to help you
organize. You don't dare touch the permanent numerical ID. (It is not
a line count.)  You could vote to discard an idea by putting a zero
into the Merged Into column.

Once this is done. I can re-import the data into the database and
link tables to keep all related records organized.

Obviously some scribes can get this done and some cannot. Some of us
will have to do other sections.

Please vote. Offer other suggestions.
