Pat I and others,
   Below is an article we didn't note last night as needing to be moved to
our education section.  I feel it is appropriate to move it. What do you
say?

GOAL 2: Promote landscaping for beneficial environmental.........

The City can create a public education program for citizens and businesses
so they can learn about the effects of invasive pest plants on biodiversity
and habitat quality.  Encourage local nurseries and garden centers not to
sell invasive pest plants.  Work together with other organizations such as
local garden clubs, the UT Agricultural Extension program, the UT Arboretum
Society, DOE, Tennessee Exotic Pest Plant Council, and TWCP, to make people
aware of the invasive and “deadly” nature of English ivy and other exotic
species.
