However we will encourage business to recycle. The challenges and need to educate the Public is assumed to be a part of each roundtable discussion group rather than have a separate roundtable on Educating the Public. Handouts: Sustainability Definition ICLEI 5 milestones Model results for municipal facilities Schools Personal carbon footprint survey Attendees will rotate through each roundtable. We need to develop a system that allows participants to mix with other participants in the roundtables rather than being with the same people throughout each round. Well ask Joe Woods if he has access to a scramble system. Facilitators: We are seeking facilitators for each roundtable. They will receive background information based on the Chattanooga Climate Action Plan for their sessions. However, this information is only to stimulate dialogue. The facilitators primary goal is to gather the participants ideas on the sessions topic related to sustainability. Depending on input from EQAB members, suggested facilitators include: Virgina Dale, Pat Postma, Donna Mosby, Linda Kimmell, Ruby Miller, Jake Moreill, Steve Davos, Robin Textor, Karen Bridgeman, Scribes: EQAB members will be asked to record the public input Invitees: Public via press releases, posters and special invitations will be sent stakeholders so that their expertise can be helpful to the roundtable discussions. We went through the lists that Athanasia received from OR staff including civic, community, Gardening, Handicapped, Historic Preservation Housing, Legal, Religion, Senior Citizens, Service Clubs, Social Service and Youth. We need list of environmental groups, Pat I. will ask Jimmy Groton to provide a list. Athanasia has started the process of officially inviting the Mayor. Erin has contacted Mr. Frierson. He is anxious to come. Athanasia will check on reimbursing his travel expenses. Erin will edit the invitation that Pat drafted. POSTER: Erin will create a poster to use for youth groups and at other appropriate locations Press Releases: Pat I. will draft a press release and make appointments to talk with them about the process. Next Work Session for the Sub-Committee will be Dec. 15th at 7 PM For EQAB review and for Facilitators Training We can list some issues/questions that EQAB would be interested in having addressed at each roundtable if discussion needs stimulation but we do not want to lead/constrain the public input. Below are the Forum groups with Objectives from the Chattanooga Global Climate Plans Public Input report (In italics) consolidated as issues that EQAB would like addressed. Again this is not to constrain the public but to help the facilitator as a backup if the public interaction is not active.
