Greetings from KORRnet -- the non-profit community
network for this region, located at http://www.korrnet.org.

KORRnet hosts this email discussion group for Knoxville's
Promise.

We are writing to make sure that youth groups and youth
advocacy organizations in the region know about the
following KORRnet services:

1) KORRnet hosts Web sites and email discussion lists for
non-profit organizations in the 16-county region surrounding
Knoxville. See Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on our Web
site for more information.

2) We also provide volunteer Web designers for non-profits
with KORRnet accounts who need help designing or overhauling
their Web sites -- and learning how to maintain them.

[Although these services are free, we do depend on donations.
The current suggested minimum donation for a KORRnet Web site,
for example, is $75 per year.)

3) If you have a community event to advertise, remember to
post it in KORRnet's "What's New in East Tennessee" events
calendar. See http://www.korrnet.org. Click on "Submit an
Event" under the "What's New in ET" headline.

4) Make sure your Web site is listed in KORRnet's Community
Links menu system. First, search for your group in the search
box at the top of our home page. If you're not listed, or if
you would like to add a site description, fill out the
"Add or Modify a Link" form. See the link for this form under
Site Utilities on our site.

5) Youth Groups are listed in two places in this menu system:
Civic & Interest Groups > Youth
http://www.korrnet.org/index.php?&t=sub_pages&cat=129
and
Recreation & Sports > Youth Sports
http://www.korrnet.org/index.php?&t=sub_pages&cat=239

Finally, KORRnet is trying to wrap up our 2003-2004 fund-raising
drive. We are asking for your support.

If you are helped by this discussion group...or
If you use korrnet.org to locate Web sites in the region...or
If you like the extra Internet traffic you get because your
site is listed on KORRnet...

...then please consider making an organizational or individual
donation to KORRnet. Donations are tax deductible. See the
donation links on our home page or just make a check to KORRnet
and send to:

KORRnet
P.O. Box 51264
Knoxville, TN 37950-1264

You will be included in our list of donors.

Thanks!
