Save the Date and Spread the Word!
7th Annual Alliance for Youth Summit--April 15, 2005
Knoxville Convention Center-- 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
April 15, 2005 Knoxville's Promise and the Youth Action Council will host
the 7th Annual Alliance for Youth Summit.  This year we are doing things a
little differently--For the first time the Summit will be planned FOR YOUTH,
BY YOUTH, making it the first event of its kind in our region.  The theme
this year is "Can you hear us now?" with activities focusing on how teens
can use their voice and be more involved in the community and government.

The youth Action Council has been hard at work for months in preparation for
this ground-breaking event and we need you to help spread the word for us.
April 15th is a student holiday for Knox County Schools and the Summit will
be an excellent way to occupy teens with entertainment, food, and
inspirational speakers.  Remember to urge your children, students, friends,
mentees, and other youth (ages 11-17) to attend.
It’s FREE and it’s FUN!

Teens are also encouraged to enter this year’s Summit "Center Stage" Talent
Showcase! If you know some talented young people who would be interested in
entering the Center Stage competition, please download an application from
our website at www.knoxvillespromise.org.
