Are you looking for new ways to publicize your organization and your events?
KORRnet, a nonprofit based in Knoxville, operates a regional portal Website -- http://www.korrnet.org -- which includes links to over 2,250 Websites across our multi-county region of East Tennessee.
It is KORRnet that provides the group email service for this Knoxville's Promise listserv.
I am writing to tell you two other important ways you can plug into this regional community clearinghouse --listing your events in the KORRnet regional online calendar and listing your Website in the KORRnet community directory. Why do this? Because KORRnet's Web pages are requested more than 375,000 times each month. Listing your site and your events on www.korrnet.org is a great way to raise your profile and get the word out about your group!
Here's HOW:

*** CALENDAR LISTINGS ***
*************************
First, you are encouraged to list your events in the KORRnet community calendar. This calendar allows you to publicize lots of details about your events and your organization. Event listings are free.
Please check it out. Go to http://www.korrnet.org and click on the "Submit an Event" link under the "What's New in East Tennessee" headline. Or just go directly to http://www.korrnet.org/submitevent.
You will need to type in your name, phone and email address so that KORRnet knows how to contact you with any questions.
Other required fields are:
* Name of the Event
* Start & End Dates
* Lead Organization
* Event Category (select from a list)
* Primary Locale (select from a list of counties)
However, you can include a lot more data, such as an entire press release, directions, Website addresses, sponsors, and contact information.
Be sure to click on "Add This Event" when you finish filling out the form.

*** WEBSITE LISTING ***
***********************
Also, if your organization has a Website, KORRnet can list it in one of the 350+ category pages of the KORRnet Community Directory. Youth sites are listed mainly in two places:
Civic & Interest Groups > Youth
https://www.korrnet.org/index.php?t=sub_pages&cat=129
and
Recreation & Sports > Youth Sports
https://www.korrnet.org/index.php?t=sub_pages&cat=239
(First, be sure your site is not already listed. Just type all or part of your group name or email address in the search box on the KORRnet home page and hit enter. If your site does not come up, see next paragraph.)
To add your site to this directory, contact KORRnet staff (see below) or go ahead and fill out the form on this page:
http://www.korrnet.org/SuggestALink
The listing is free. They would appreciate a link back to KORRnet.org.
Questions? Please contact KORRnet staff at 215-5992 or
contact at korrnet.org.
Thanks! Tracey Farr-- a proud volunteer and big fan of KORRnet!
