[OA] Resignation

Brother  John Shanks, 
Having  served most of my second term as Chapter Chief of the Toqua Chapter, 
I must  resign from office effective August  20, 2004.  Running a successful 
Chapter will be impossible from Texas A&M University,  and it is for the good 
of the Chapter that I resign and recommend the First  Vice-Chief of Toqua 
Chapter, Kenny Jacobs, to take over the roll as Chapter  Chief. 
I  have enjoyed serving the Lodge for the last 23 months and wish you the  
best of luck in the future. There are plenty of good, qualified young men ready  
to step up and take charge.  
I  will never forget the impact Toqua Chapter and the Order of the Arrow have 
had  on my scouting career and life. Through brotherhood, cheerfulness, and 
service I  have lead, followed, taught, and learned as a child becoming a young 
 adult. 
Now  I must make my own path and pave my own trail, but I will never forget 
the  times spent in cheerfully in service with my brothers in the  order.
