brothers -

fall fellowship was good.  toqua had a sizeable bunch there.  you were 
involved in all of the activities - even the irksome tasks.  some of you took on 
weighty responsibilities.  thanks for your spirit.

chapter elections:  kenny jacobs is chief.  for the first time we have three 
vice-chiefs - taylor clark, spencer grieco (second term), and j. d. stombaugh. 
 karl osterbrink is secretary, and joey courtney is treasurer for his second 
term.  chief kenny will be working on filling all of the committee leadership 
positions.  step into the gap if you are asked.  

lodge elections did not happen because of a break in the paperwork flow.  
lodge elections will be completed at the council office on sunday afternoon, 
october 10th, at 3:00 pm.  be present to make your vote.  more on this later.

the lodge leadership development conference will take place on saturday, 
october 9th at knoxville first united methodist church, 3316 kingston pike, from 
9:00 am to 9:00 pm.  cost is $20 in advance (not later than october 4th) and 
$25 at the door.  you will be fed lunch and dinner.  the purpose of the event is 
to train the leadership of the lodge (including leadership in the chapter) so 
that they may better perform their duties.  this event is for all arrowmen of 
any honor level, both youth and adults.  registration forms wll be available 
at chapter gatherings.  maybe they are on the lodge and/or chapter web pages?  
check it out.

toqua chapter has been requested to drum and sing at the saturday evening 
campfire at fall camporee.  we need to polish our performance, so please be 
present at chapter gatherings on september 23rd and september 30th at 7:00 pm at 
concord united methodist church.
