Now is the time to check your library's membership in TENN-SHARE for 2007-2008.

 

The list of libraries whose renewals have been received by TENN-SHARE as of August 10, is now on our website at http://www.tenn-share.org/?cat=11.  We are up to 360 paid memberships and are aiming to exceed last year's membership of 554.

 

If your library has paid its dues, thanks! If your library has not yet paid for 07-08, please get that done! If your library is a former member or has never been a member of TENN-SHARE, now is the time to join! 

 

If you need a membership form - to renew or to join - you'll find a link to one at that same website. We ask that all memberships be in by September 1.

 

If you need a reason to join, think about this:

 

·        TENN-SHARE was instrumental in adding Literature Resource Center to the Tennessee Electronic Library, as well as in securing $1 million in recurring state funds to add even more databases to TEL. 

·        TENN-SHARE has a contract with Ingram Library Services, Inc. that gives your member library significant discounts on books, ebooks, audio books, CDs and DVDs.

·        TENN-SHARE's Fall Conference is coming up and you save $20 in registration fees if you're from a member library. The DataFest is free!

·        TENN-SHARE is working on regional interlibrary loan projects that we hope to take statewide.

·        TENN-SHARE is supporting Volunteer Voices, www.volunteervoices.org, the statewide digitization project that brings primary resources on Tennessee history and culture to your library.

·        TENN-SHARE's Database Coordinator works to bring member libraries together on electronic resources so you all save money on your subscriptions.

·        TENN-SHARE dues have remained the same for SEVEN years!
