I hope everyone is having a great summer or what is left of it. I had a fantastic time at ALA in Washington, DC and it was great to see other Tennessee librarians and TASL members attending the conference!
We have added a new feature to our TASL website - you can now download a TASL brochure - this is a great tool for promoting your library and your profession. In the near future, ADVOCACY TIPS, will be posted on the website.
Below, I have listed some good information from AASL - please check these websites out.

Misunderstood Minds
A companion website for the PBS documentary "Misunderstood
Minds." The site includes sections on Attention, Reading,
Writing, and Mathematics. Interactive activities, called
"Experience Firsthand," are designed to provide a sense of
what it may be like for a student struggling with a basic
skill.

Finally, the August newlsetter will be sent out to all schools and will also be available at the TASL website - www.discoveret.org/tasl- so if you don't get the newsletter - make sure to download it from our website!!!! It will have more information about the upcoming TASL conference at Franklin, TN in November.
Enjoy your summer!
