1.  Register this summer and save!

Register now for the AASL 13th National Conference and

Don't wait till the last minute - register before the
advance registration deadline of September 28 and you can

The conference will feature an Opening General Session with
keynote speaker Dan Pink, author of "A Whole New Mind,"
special appearances by award-winning authors Wendelin
Van Draanen and David Lubar, and Omar Wasow, co-founder
of BlackPlanet.com, as the Closing General Session speaker.

2.  Follett Software and Follett Library Resources to
    sponsor AASL Closing Night Gala in Reno

Follett Software Company and Follett Library Resources have
teamed up to sponsor the Closing Night Gala at the AASL
13th National Conference and Exhibition in Reno, Nev.,
October 25-28, 2007. Full conference registrants will be
invited to enjoy the event at the National Automobile
Museum on Saturday evening, October 27, 6:30 – 9:30 pm.

The National Automobile Museum in Reno houses one of the
world's most stunning and extensive collections of vintage
automobiles. Its permanent collection includes more than
200 automobiles in period-themed street settings, including
air mobiles, horseless carriages, and kickstand motorcycles,
as well as displays of clothing worn by motorists of the
early 20th century and beyond. Attendees of the AASL Gala
will have the opportunity to network with colleagues and
relax after a full three days of conference programming,
while strolling along historical automobile gems, such as
Elvis Presley’s 1973 Cadillac Eldorado, James Dean’s 1949
Mercury, and Lana Turner’s 1941 Chrysler.

3.  Get the scoop on Reno from "The AASL Advocate"

After a successful introduction at the 2003 AASL National
Conference in Kansas City and a great run in Pittsburgh in
2005, AASL and CustomNEWS have teamed up again to publish
"The AASL Advocate," the Reno conference's official daily
newspaper.

There will be a total of four issues of the "The AASL
Advocate" published for the 13th National Conference: three
daily issues will be available on-site in Reno, in addition
to a Preview Issue, which was mailed to AASL personal
members in late June.

If you didn't get a copy or if you'd like more copies for
your friends and colleagues, go to the AASL National
