I think this may be more of a middle school problem. We usually grab the
students when they come in to check out, but we do print fine lists
every couple of weeks. The teachers don't mind distributing them.

Subject: [Tasl] library notices and how to distribute??

Hello~
One of my more unplesant duties is to print off my overdue notices and
give them to the home room teacher to distribute. I have been doing it
this way for years, as some of the students don't always come to the
library with their classes.

My principal just sent me an email that I need to distribute the
notices during the the library class time to avoid giving the teachers
"... an extra duty" .

Grrrr now that makes my life even more fun. As the students won't
know about their overdue books when they come to class. I work in a
middle school and trying them to come to library prepared with pens and
their books is a major task.

So now I am asking you all for help in this matter. How do you
distribute your overdue listings?

thanks in advance for your help.

You see, I don't believe that libraries should be drab places where
people sit in silence, and that's been the main reason for our policy of
employing wild animals as librarians.
