Award-winning author Ji-li Jiang will be attending the School Library Association Conference in the week of Nov 20, 2008. She will be available to visit some schools also.
Her first book, Red Scarf Girl, a Memoir of the Cultural Revolution has won many awards and been used in many middle or high schools. Her second book, Magical Monkey King, Mischief in Heaven, the most famous folklore in China has been serialized on hundreds of newspapers in US and other sixteen countries. In the last ten years since her first book was published, Ji-li has been invited to give thousand of presentations at schools around country. Her presentation was praised as "powerful and inspiring."
