Many of you may know that J. Linda Williams, a school library veteran and district administrator from MD, is running for ALA President this year. That's ALA President, not AASL. Please read the following email to find out how you can be eligible to vote in this important election.

If you are thinking about joining ALA and AASL, doing so by Jan. 31 will qualify you to vote in the upcoming ALA election, a big one for school libraries; school and youth candidates need your support to be elected. More school people on Council means more attention paid by ALA to school needs; our voice will be LOUDER. 


If you're already a member, watch for your ballot and please vote. AASL will be putting a list of youth candidates on our website, not an endorsement but an awareness piece.
