Hope everyone is enjoying their snow day! At least here in Middle TN.
It is coming down pretty good at my house as I write...

I just received two great books purchased with my bonus points from my
Scholastic book fair. I ordered R is for Research by Toni Buzzeo and
We're Going on a Book Hunt by Pat Miller, and they are both too cute
and perfect for my library lessons! My experience has been that
usually when I order a book for library skills that there is something
in the book that isn't right for my library, but both of these are
right on target for me.

Pat's book is great for teaching K's and 1's about book care and how
to find a perfect book, while Toni's book is all about the research
process and cleverly covers all aspects in an alphabet book format.

The great thing for me is that we've had both authors at TASL, and I
have been watching their careers in publishing take off. If you don't
have Toni's Sea Chest, Dawdle Duckling, and Little Loon and Papa (and
her other books as well) or Pat's Subsititute Groundhog, you should
get those, too!
