This doesn't discuss the library setting per se, but since media specialists
are often in the position of helping to lead schools with technology
instruction and innovation in curriculum, I thought this was pretty
pertinent as a cautionary tale. Apparently, the school in question was
designed from the ground up to integrate the latest technologies with
education and incorporate all kinds of educational reforms; for various
reasons, it's not working out, despite the funding poured into it.

This article describes another school that looks like it's doing pretty
much the same thing, but appears to be much more successful at it so far
(interestingly, the two articles arrived in the same newsletter). It
doesn't give enough information to draw solid conclusions about why one
seems to work and the other hasn't, but comparing the two is helpful to
flesh out each one.
