All school librarians please make sure you have participated in this survey.
Help us get the word out to any school librarian to complete this survey.
With less than two weeks left to complete AASL longitudinal study "School
Libraries Count!" it is crucial to get the word out to all SLMS ASAP! Past
participant's continued involvement is crucial when examining trends over
time, as well as new participants so that an accurate reflection of the US
educational demographics are represented. This year's study includes
additional questions regarding English Language Learners (ELLs) and
resources made available to them through school library media programs.
The number of participants between years one and two of the survey almost
doubled, in large part due to the collective efforts of AASL volunteers
getting the word out, and we hope to double again in 2009. Current
participate rates are well below last year's, so please help AASL spread the
word about this important survey.
Please spread the word now! Post to your website, listservs and blogs! The
survey may be accessed directly at http://www.aaslsurvey.org
<http://www.aaslsurvey.org/> . The last day to complete the survey is March
12.
Thank you for your support.

You see, I don't believe that libraries should be drab places
where people sit in silence, and that's been the main reason
for our policy of employing wild animals as librarians.
