[Tasl] Professional Development Report

Cathy Kendall is working on having a professional development day on
February 13, 2010. 

We have set the locations for the Kapco Book Repair workshops. They will
be from February 22 - March 6. Kary Barth, sales representative, will
start in Kingsport and end in Union City. By the first of December we
would like to mail a postcard to all librarians about the upcoming
workshops and have a reminder to pay their TASL dues. We would like to
make this a bulk mailing to all librarians since the new membership year
starts in January. 

I have been talking to vendors about sponsoring our summer professional
development workshops. I am having a difficult time focusing on the
workshops. There are about 15 vendors that are interested in
participating. I have not contacted anyone about hosting the workshops.
The dates are July 6 - 9. Karen Lowe has agreed to present her grant
writing workshop, if we want her to. I need some advice on what to do
for the summer. 

I think everything went very well during 2009.
