Mission: |
To Provide and implement programs that strengthen |

families by focusing on enhancing parenting skills. |
|

Goal: |
(1) Provide opportunities for parents to learn parenting skills through classes, speakers, videos, seminars and other communications media. |

(2) Coordinate county-wide parenting resources through the Sevier County Family Resource Center. |
| |
|
|
(3) Collaborate with educators and Community agencies to develop and implement programs identified by ongoing needs assessments. |

(4) Create awareness of available resources related to parenting issues. |

Current or Past Projects: |
• Parenting workshops in the schools, churches, and FSSMC |
• Parenting Fair at Belz Mall in Pigeon Forge |
|
• Parenting Fair/Family Health Fair at Healthfest |
|
• Parenting blitz on orientation days in all Sevier County Schools |
• Teen Health Fairs (Sevier County Schools) |
• Child Health Fairs (K-4th grades Sevier Co. 2 schools each October) |
