Board of Directors
The Scarboro Learning Center Board of Directors is composed of a dynamic group
of volunteers that reflect the diversity of the Oak Ridge community and who are
committed to the mission of the center.
The Board is responsible for ensuring that the day care complies with
regulations and guidelines as determined by the Department of Human Services and
other stakeholders. The Board also develops and carries out governing policies,
develops and controls operating funds, and oversees the distribution of capital
assets for the benefit of Scarboro Learning Center.
Sub-committees in finance, fundraising, policy, and personnel selection have
been developed to facilitate and streamline the Boards functions.
