PROGRAM GOALS
Our Program Goals for Preschool Children
- To provide opportunities for each child to grow in independence.
- To help each child to grow in social, mental, physical, and spiritual
development.
- To assist in the development of each child's unique talents and abilities.
Through play we seek to provide opportunities for growth and learning in
these areas:
- Language Skills Activities
- Understanding Math Concepts
- Science and Health
- Creative Arts
- Field Trips
The Preschool
Program Unit Activities are listed by month. Each month's program focuses on
a different unit topic. The activities included in the program units are
activities and events appropriate to the season. Unit topics are also aimed at
developing cognitive skills.
Our Program Goals for School Age Children
The School Age Program
serves children ages 5 through 12 years of age with before and after school
care. All day care is provided when school is not in session. In this program we
seek:
- To provide an environment which supports and encourages individual growth
and learning.
- To foster good relationships to promote healthy attitudes.
School age children are given opportunities to:
- Complete their homework if the child or family desires.
- Engage in table games.
- Relax with books.
- Join the "Project of the Day" which might include creative arts, a guest
speaker, or a field trip.
