Hi, my name is Rosie.  I came into rescue about a year ago, I have been in foster care all that time and while I love my foster mom I really want a home of my own.  I know that I look more like an American Bulldog than the English one's here at my foster home.  But rescue saved me from a bad place and hoped someone would want me even if I was a little different.  I have been spayed and I am UTD on all my shots and really no trouble at all.  I always go outside to potty and I love to be in my crate ( especially if a cookie comes with it).   I can be very playful and I love to go for walks and I get very excited when we go for a car ride.  I have been really lonely for my own person who would  love me and  sit on the sofa with me.   Because of my past and my poor vision I don't like other dogs, so I have to be an only dog but I promise to be the best companion you have ever had and give you kisses and stay right by you.  Please fill out the rescue application and call my foster mom Mari DeCuir at 865-688-2270 today! Thank you.

This is Nigel.  He is a ten year old Bullie.  We took him into rescue when he was 8 1/2.  The family that adopted him had to return him because of a family illness..  Nigel has a great personality.  He is sweet and loving.  he can be quite lively, especially around dinner time!  he can go up and down steps with no problems. Good with other dogs but should not be around small children as his hearing and vision cause him to startle easily.  Older children who know how to approach him would be fine.  He does have ear and eye problems and will probably need weekly baths for his skin.  He is UTD on his shots,  neutered and housebroken.  If you are interested in fostering or adopting Nigel please fill out our application form  and call Mari DeCuir at 865-688-2270.

Looking for a couch potato buddy?  Then meet Tuff.  His name tells his story.  He has had a tough life until now.  Tuff is an eight year old neutered male who was an owner surrender at an area shelter.  Tuff is a sweet, affectionate guy who  needs some attention and care.   He is housebroken, appears to know some obedience commands and learns quickly according to his foster mom.   He came to us Heartworm positive, with an ear infection, a weak back leg and serious visual  problems.   He is being treated  for the heartworm, his ear infection is clearing up and he gets daily eye medication.  He has some arthritis in his back legs which is being treated with Rimdyl.   He will always need  the Rimdyl and the eye medicine and his sight will always be impaired.   He would be best in a stable home where he could find his way around easily, a home with no or few steps would be a plus.  We recommend that his new family not have any young children that might startle him.   Anyone interested in adopting this boy will need to give him time to adjust to his new home. If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy please fill out our application form  and call Mari DeCuir at 865-688-2270.

This is Harmony.  She is a three year old owner surrender because she could not get along with the family's other dogs.  She is spayed, UTD on her shots, crate trained and housebroken. She is in excellent health but could use some exercise and lose a little weight (she weighs 70 lbs).  She is a very happy dog and loves people.  Because of her propensity to get into scuffles with other dogs she will need to be an only dog.  If you are interested in adopting Harmony please fill out our application and call Mari DeCuir at 865-688-2270.

ADOPTED ! ! !
This is Rosemary.
She is an approximately four year old  spayed female, UTD on her shots, crate trained and housebroken.  Rosemary was dumped at the Roane Co Animal Shelter after her owner used her for breeding and then discarded her.  She is a sweetie, very affectionate and loving.  If you want someone who is happy to see you at the end of a tough day then Rosemary is for you. She would probably be best in an only dog home where she could enjoy being spoiled exclusively by you.  She is a little thin right now but we are working on putting some weight on her.  If you are interested in giving this girl the loving home she deserves please fill out our application   and  call Mari DeCuir at 865-688-2270.

Meet  Howeston ( aka Mr. Eyebrows).  Howeston is a six year old, neutered male Bullie, UTD on his shots, heartworm negative, crate trained and housebroken.  Howeston came into rescue when his former owner was no longer able to care for him.  Howeston is a sweet, shy and playful Bullie that would be best in a home with no small children.  He appears to get along with other dogs and seems more submissive than dominant.  .  Howeston has an allergy to poultry and will need to be on Taste of  the Wild Salmon dog food and no treats containing poultry or poultry by-products.  He will need weekly ear cleanings and baths as his skin tends to be a little oily.  If you are interested in adopting Howeston please fill out our application and calll Mari DeCuir at 865-688-2270.

ADOPTED ! ! !
This is Diesel.  Diesel is an approximately three year old neutered male, UTD on his shots, heartworm negative, crate trained and housebroken.  He was an owner surrender to an all breed rescue in North Carolina.  They could not afford the palate surgery that he needed.  Wonderful Dr. Blackford here in Knoxville did the surgery for us and he is a happy boy, breathing much easier now.  He has a typical Bulldog personality.  He loves to run back into his crate and get a toy out to bring to you. He is very sweet and gets along with other dogs and tolerates cats.  He is a big boy and might not be appropriate with a family that has toddlers or small children.  If you are interested in Diesel please fill our our application   and call Mari DeCuir at 865-688-2270.
