Dear Grant Recipients:
For the last 14 years, it has been a privilege to work with and through so many of the area’s non-profit organizations. We have seen the positive difference your dedication and hard work have made in the East Tennessee area, and so it is with a heavy heart that the Board of Directors of the Sunrise Foundation regretfully have voted to start the cessation process to close the Sunrise Foundation as it now exists. In accordance with the Foundation’s Charter, the funds remaining in the Foundation will be distributed to a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable fund.
As a result, this website will no longer be available after June 1, 2012. Applications for grants are no longer being accepted.
Our hope is that the quality of life for individuals served by the grants we have given has been greatly improved. We believe that a lot of good and valuable work has been done, and we regret that we will not be able to continue as we have in the past.
We wish you well and know that you will continue to make a difference in our community.
