TFS is a nonprofit organization in Knoxville that first started out as a community service project by Access Systems, Inc. Alvin Dziurzynski, president of ASI, Inc., saw a need for more computers in local elementary schools. He also noticed that businesses and people did not know what to do with their older computers they no longer use. Some of them get put in a storage room, stacked up in a corner, or put under a desk. Putting the two together, Mr. Dziurzynski came up with Technology For Success, Inc. Now the computers that are considered no longer usable by some can be used in schools for students to learn and get an edge in technology.
So far, dozens of computers, printers, and related equipment have been donated to area public schools. But this nonprofit organization cannot help these children with the opportunity to learn on computers without the generous support of area businesses and individuals to this worthy cause. Every part of a computer can be used whether it is a Macintosh, a PC capable of running at least Windows 95, or even if you just have an extra color SVGA monitor or printer sitting around, TFS can use it. Please look around and see how you can donate your computer equipment to this worthy cause.
