“By recycling used computer equipment and donating them to schools, Technology for Success, Inc. is helping East Tennessee students be better prepared for the 21st century through technology.”
We are standing at the threshold of the technologically oriented 21st century. Being computer literate is becoming an ever increasing necessity in school. But with the rapid advances in computer technology, it is hard for schools to provide enough computers to allow every student access.
But there is an organization in Knoxville, Tennessee that is assisting schools in receiving computers. Technology for Success, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization devoted to recycling computers from businesses and individuals. We refurbish the tax deductible computers and then distribute them to public schools located within a forty-mile radius of Knoxville. Most computers, even though basic by today’s standards, are still usable in educating students through programs and games. TFS feels that this is a way for businesses and individuals to give back to the community and to help the children for the 21st century.
Please help East Tennessee students by donating your old computer equipment to Technology for Success, Inc.
“Today, technological literacy - computer skills and the ability to use computers and other technology to improve
learning, productivity, and performance - is a new basic that our students must master...Preparing our children for a lifetime of computer use is now just as essential as teaching them to read and write and do math.”
-President Clinton
