This annual event promises to be the biggest and best one on record.  The 2007 theme is "Art in the Park" with demonstrations and exhibits by area artists working in conjunction with the Fountain City Art Center.

Live entertainment includes; Lynn Clapp and his Big Band, Hall's very own Logan Merrell, Elvis-Dolly-Reba impersonators, jazz singer Emily Schoen and friends and live animal act Monkey Shine.  Expect to see Fountain City Karate demonstrations and lots more.

Treat the kids to carriage rides and shimmy up the climbing wall.  Fountain City area restaurants will provide food and more food: The Chop House and The Lost Savant and Taste of Havana.  Expect some tasty vittles!

In addition, you can support various organizations by purchasing lemonade, smoothies and water.  At 4:00 the special ceremony at the Veterans Memorial at the lake will feature Congressman John Duncan and other guest speakers.

2007 Fountain City Community Awards

Nominations should include names, addresses, and telephone numbers of the individuals/organizations being nominated as well as the contact information for the individual submitting the nomination.

The award categories are:

Fountain City Man of the Year – Given to an adult male resident of Fountain City who exemplifies the spirit of the community through his dedicated, long-term service to others and the community.

Fountain City Woman of the Year – Given to an adult female resident of Fountain City who exemplifies the spirit of the community through her dedicated, long-term service to others and the community.

Commercial/Public Area Beautification Award – Given to any business or public facility that has recently renovated, reused or beautified its property and has enhanced the neighborhood by extending a sense of community or has helped to preserve and/or beautify Fountain City.

Residential Restoration Award – Given to a privately owned home whose rehabilitation, renovation, preservation, or caring maintenance has added to our community. This is not limited to older homes or historic homes, but any property that is lovingly maintained.

Garden/Landscaping Award – Given to the owner of any garden or yard that adds to Fountain City through its landscaping, planting or outside maintenance.
