We welcome ladies who may be interested in joining our chapter. Prospective members are invited to attend any of our regular chapter meetings or events as a guest. The UDC Constitution and Bylaws state:

“Those eligible for active membership are women no less than 16 years of age who are widows, wives, mothers, sisters, granddaughters, nieces, and blood descendants, lineal or collateral, of men and women who served honorably in the Army, Navy, or Civil Service of the Confederate States of America, or gave Material Aid to the Cause.”

             Also eligible are those women who are lineal descendants of members or former members of the UDC. The ancestor must not have taken the Oath of Allegiance prior to April 9, 1865, unless proof of further service, nullifying the Oath, is provided.
