The objectives of the national organization are Historical, Educational, Benevolent, Memorial, and Patriotic. We strive to honor the memory of those who served and fell in service to the Confederacy; to protect, preserve and mark historic sites; to collect and preserve the truthful history of the War Between the States; to record the noble deeds of Southern women during and after the war; to fulfill the sacred duty of benevolence toward the survivors and toward those dependent on them; to assist descendants of veterans in securing an education; and to cultivate friendships among the members of the organization.
