The Battle of King's Mountain Outdoor Drama

Outdoor Drama

The first-ever outdoor drama
at the UT Arboretum

The UT Arboretum hosted a first-ever outdoor drama on July 29, 2006. Utilizing a natural amphitheater area near the Program Shelter, the UT Arboretum staff and UT Arboretum Society volunteers sponsored this very successful event. Dressed in authentic Revolutionary War garb, local story teller Michael Dahl recounted the events leading up to and including this turning point in the War of Independence. Over 150 interested participants attended this unique drama - many of whom enjoyed a picnic supper of grilled hotdogs provided by the Anderson County 4-H before the drama. Proceeds from this event will be used to support the Society's mission of promoting public awareness of the Arboretum. For more information about the Society visit www.utarboretumsociety.org.
