The request should be for a special event--not, for example, a CQ contest. A special event operation usually commemorates an event which is publicly significant. Ideally, this is a one time, non-recurring celebration, festival, anniversary, holiday, convention, dedication, public demonstration, and the like.
You may request a call up to one year before the effective beginning date, and its operation may cover up to and including 15 days of use. We will not accept multiple bordering 15 day periods since reserving more than one call sign during a calendar year is discouraged.
