Lynn Pottenger has just begun her literacy ministry with the Turkana people of Kenya as part of a Christian Missionary Fellowship team. She is learning the language and culture of the people while living with them. She is now teaching literacy needed to read God's Word Christian Student Fellowship at the University of Tennessee provides a place for busy UT students to study and pray. Worship services are held and Bible study courses are offered. Christ is shared to the lost. Johnson Bible College graduates have served, and are serving, faithfully as preachers, missionaries, Bible college presidents and teachers, ministers of music, church secretaries, and in other areas of specialized Christian service all over the United States and throughout the world. Many of them have also made important contributions to mankind as doctors, lawyers, statesmen, public school teachers, and business executives. Wherever they have gone, they have shown the marks of personal commitment to Christ and faithfulness to the Word of God. Milligan College provides a Christian liberal arts foundation for career preparation in 27 major areas of study, providing opportunities for students to grow spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially. National Missionary Convention is a 4-day meeting directed by foreign and U.S. missionaries as well as Christian churches and Churches of Christ. . Smoky Mountain Christian Camp is situated on forty beautiful acres of the Cherokee National Forest. It has air-conditioned dormitories, many sports areas, meeting and dining facilities, and a private lake. The camp offers a summer schedule of Christ-centered camping for all school age children as well as availability for retreats and conferences year-round. Smoky Mountain Christian Men's Fellowship is composed of men from various free Churches within an area of a hundred miles of Knoxville. Their mission is to establish and assist new congregations of Christian Churches in this area. Since 1950, the SMCMF has established, re-established, or provided major assistance to 27 congregations in our area. Adrian and Jennifer Fehl became affiliated with Christian Missionary Fellowship in November 1996 for the Ethiopia Field Team. Their work focuses on the unreached Gumuz people. White Horse Project: Spencer, Pat, Rebekah, and Aaron Garner are ministering to the people of Mongolia. They are associated with Team Expansion. Mongolia has had Buddhism and Communism for the last 800 years, but nothing else. The purpose of the White Horse Project is to recruit workers for Mongolia, establish churches, and equip them to reach their own people. It is called the White Horse Project because Revelation says Jesus is coming on a white horse with the armies of heaven on white horses. It's time the Mongolians ride for Jesus Christ!
