Bruce Martin: Senior Minister

Bruce Martin was born in Piqua, Ohio, and raised in the Christian church there.  He was later ordained by the Piqua church.

      Following high school, he attended Lincoln Christian College and Lincoln Christian Seminary in Lincoln, IL.  He also holds degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, NJ, and Emmanuel School of Religion in Johnson City, TN. 

      After ministries with the Mount Auburn (IL) Church of Christ and the Nashville (IN) Christian Church, he began a twenty-eight year ministry as a U.S. Navy chaplain, along with his wife, Judy. 

      Over the years as a chaplain, he served on the West Coast, the East Coast, the Gulf Coast, in the Northeast, and in Sicily and Cuba.  His Navy tours included time onboard ship, at a naval training center, with the air community, with Seabees, with submarines, and with the Marine Corps. 

      Now retired as a Navy chaplain, he and Judy moved to Oak Ridge in 2008 so Judy could continue her service in government work with the Dept. of Energy.  He became the minister of West Village in December, 2008.

      They have two children – James in Seymour, TN, and Christine in New York City – along with four grandchildren.

Don and Willene Bullock

Don Bullock retired from active pulpit duty in March of 1995 after twenty-two years in the West Village pulpit, and 43 years total in the ministry. Don was called home to the Kingdom of Heaven September 17, 2005

Willene Bullock continues to serve in the congregation in ways too numerous to count.
